Soaring Tree Top Adventures^® Durango Train Information

Because Soaring Tree Top Adventures^® is accessible only by train (there is no road access) we have joined with the Durango & Silverton Railroad to provide your transportation to and from Soaring^®. Visitors from all over the world come to Durango for the chance to ride the D&SNG train, so you will actually be enjoying two vacation highlights: your Soaring^® Canopy Tour and the trip on the Durango & Silverton RR!

After you make your Soaring^® reservation, we purchase your train tickets and will have them waiting for you at the Durango train station on the day of your zipline adventure, or sent up to Rockwood with the Conductor, depending on your boarding point. Therefore, you should not make your own train reservation, as it might not coordinate with your Soaring^® Tour.

You can either take the train from the Downtown Durango train station or from the Rockwood station (26 miles north of Durango) to get to Soaring Tree Top Adventures^®.

Durango Downtown Station: Train departs at 8:15AM. Be there 1/2 hour early. Your tickets can be picked up the morning of your Soaring date at the Group Office.

Rockwood Station: Train arrives at approximately 9:24 AM. Be parked and ready by 9:00 AM. Board the train next to the small building with the sign “Rockwood Boarding Point” flag the train (wave your arm low across your knees & to the side) to have it stop for you. The conductor will have your tickets.

The D&SNGRR arrives at Soaring Tree Top Adventures^® at 10:09 am., but you must meet the times above in order to make it to Soaring® on time!
